For generations, Rose Barni roses have benefited from floricultural studies on varieties of shrub roses, climbing roses, mass-effect roses, and single-flower roses.

The roses from our nursery have been carefully selected by our experts, to offer the most suitable varieties for every need, from the garden to the balcony, including climbing decorations.

Ideal position

Although their development capacity depends on the characteristics of individual varieties, roses are very hardy and adaptable plants. They resist winter cold very well, withstanding minimum temperatures of -15-18 °C

Our advice is to plant roses in a well-ventilated position that is exposed to direct sunlight. Additionally, for climbing or shrub roses, supports will be needed to guide the branches properly.

How to prune climbing roses?

Since climbers bloom on the previous year's branches, it is important to open and guide the new branches, without shortening them.

When it comes to maintenance pruning, an older, woody branch can be removed and then replaced by a younger one. The secondary branches that have bloomed should be shortened to 2/3 buds, so that they will bear flowers again in the spring.

Which rose to choose?

In the Rose Barni selection, you can find large-flowered shrubs or clusters, English roses, Japanese roses, groundcover flowering shrubs, and much more. Each of these varieties has specific characteristics.

To choose your garden roses, you must first consider the position you can offer the plant. Roses develop best in the sun, especially in areas that are well exposed to direct sunlight. If you have a particularly large garden, we recommend shrub varieties, perfect for creating a wide band of color.
