Clematis

9 prodotti

Undisputed queens among climbing plants, Clematis are often used in sunny and brightly lit positions with consistently fresh soil at the base. With just a few well-targeted cares, Clematis bring color and vibrancy to the garden or any other space you wish to decorate. With a combination of different varieties and species, you can enjoy an explosion of flowers almost all year round.

On this page, you will find a selection of Clematis from Rose Barni, supplied in a 16 cm diameter pot, ready to bloom.

How to cultivate Clematis in pots?

Clematis can be grown both in the ground and in pots. In the latter case, you will need a sufficiently wide and deep pot (our advice is to choose one that is at least 35/40 cm in diameter and depth).

To improve drainage and protect the roots from excess water (which might accidentally collect in the saucer), spread a 5 cm layer of expanded clay at the bottom of the pot. Subsequently, cover with a specific potting soil for flowering plants.

What is the right time to plant Clematis?

The ideal period is in spring or from late summer to autumn. Our advice is to avoid transplanting during the hottest season, as the clematis would have great difficulty taking root (even if well-watered).

How long do Clematis bloom?

Clematis have varying flowering periods depending on the species and variety: some are early and produce flowers in late winter, while others are very late and produce their first flowers in mid-summer.
